Professional Engagement
Standard 6 - Engage in professional learning
Standard 6 - Engage in professional learning
As previously mentioned in my philosophy I believe that teaching presents an opportunity for lifelong learning. I consider professional development to play a vital role in the continuous pursuit of becoming the best educator I can possibly be; which includes staying up to date with current research in the intellectual, physical and social/emotional development of children in the educational setting. I have been in the fortunate position of being an education assistant for many years and have had access to professional, network and in house educator development courses.
6.1 Identify and plan professional learning needs. Demonstrate an understanding of the role of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers in identifying professional learning needs.
